Doesn't work under linux (with the 2.4.x series).
Try gphoto 2.0 (no success with c500 yet)
Or use an compact flash card reader like the ImageMate

Photosmart P1100

• Software needed:
• Linux Printing
• HP Officejet Linux driver
• HP Linux Inkject Driver Project

The CVS version (and the >=0.9 version) of the HP Officejet linux project has support for the flashcard reader. Use the experimental printer driver if you use kernel <2.4.18. Read the documentation.
